Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Travel, Media and Retail sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 2.05%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Iaso (AT:IASr), which rose 4.13% or 0.045 points to trade at 1.135 at the close. Meanwhile, European Reliance General Insurance Co SA (AT:EREr) added 3.53% or 0.120 points to end at 3.540 and K.L.M. (AT:KLUr) was up 2.52% or 0.014 points to 0.570 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which fell 5.80% or 0.0024 points to trade at 0.0390 at the close. Public Power (AT:DEHr) declined 5.48% or 0.08 points to end at 1.38 and Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr) was down 4.56% or 0.205 points to 4.290.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 88 to 26 and 11 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.40% or 5.00 to $1246.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.76% or 0.39 to hit $51.08 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.03% or 0.02 to trade at $60.30 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.27% to 1.1336, while EUR/GBP rose 0.11% to 0.8994.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 96.665.
