Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 1.85% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr), which rose 2.59% or 0.75 points to trade at 29.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr) added 1.16% or 0.02 points to end at 1.91 and BriQ Properties REIC (AT:BRIQr) was up 1.00% or 0.02 points to 2.02 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr), which fell 7.53% or 0.22 points to trade at 2.70 at the close. Lavipharm SA (AT:LPHr) declined 6.49% or 0.05 points to end at 0.72 and Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr) was down 5.84% or 0.06 points to 1.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 115 to 11 and 9 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.49% or 12.80 to $2,627.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.16% or 0.11 to hit $69.06 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.11% or 0.08 to trade at $73.22 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 106.15.
