Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Healthcare and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 1.84%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr), which rose 4.84% or 0.600 points to trade at 13.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) added 2.24% or 0.1400 points to end at 6.4000 and Hellenic Petroleum SA (AT:HEPr) was up 1.66% or 0.120 points to 7.340 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were National Bank of Greece SA (AT:NBGr), which fell 8.59% or 0.176 points to trade at 1.874 at the close. Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) declined 8.14% or 0.180 points to end at 2.030 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) was down 7.93% or 0.0068 points to 0.0790.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 74 to 26 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) rose to 5-year highs; up 4.84% or 0.600 to 13.000. Shares in National Bank of Greece SA (AT:NBGr) fell to 52-week lows; losing 8.59% or 0.176 to 1.874.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.33% or 4.00 to $1195.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.91% or 1.29 to hit $68.83 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.64% or 1.27 to trade at $78.64 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.10% to 1.1581, while EUR/GBP rose 0.12% to 0.8912.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 95.25.
