Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Retail, Basic Resources and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 1.82%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were K.L.M. (AT:KLUr), which rose 2.56% or 0.018 points to trade at 0.722 at the close. Meanwhile, Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr) added 2.48% or 0.150 points to end at 6.200 and Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) was up 2.19% or 0.030 points to 1.400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Intracom Hold (AT:INRr), which fell 5.55% or 0.038 points to trade at 0.647 at the close. Mytilineos Holdings SA (AT:MYTr) declined 3.55% or 0.330 points to end at 8.970 and Public Power (AT:DEHr) was down 3.06% or 0.06 points to 1.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 68 to 37 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.18% or 2.40 to $1305.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.23% or 0.15 to hit $65.89 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.17% or 0.13 to trade at $76.33 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.32% to 1.1808, while EUR/GBP rose 0.51% to 0.8823.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 93.44.
