Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Construction and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 1.74% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Plaisio Comp (AT:PLAr), which rose 5.57% or 0.220 points to trade at 4.170 at the close. Meanwhile, Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr) added 3.23% or 0.62 points to end at 19.80 and Iaso (AT:IASr) was up 3.09% or 0.024 points to 0.800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Loulis Mills (AT:LOUr), which fell 8.93% or 0.20 points to trade at 2.04 at the close. Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) declined 5.35% or 0.650 points to end at 11.500 and Titan Cement Company SA (AT:TTNr) was down 5.25% or 1.050 points to 18.950.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 70 to 24 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Titan Cement Company SA (AT:TTNr) fell to 52-week lows; losing 5.25% or 1.050 to 18.950.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.28% or 3.30 to $1188.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.29% or 0.19 to hit $65.20 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.23% or 0.16 to trade at $70.92 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.46% to 1.1399, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.8951.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 96.30.
