Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Basic Resources and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 1.66% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 5.63% or 0.0040 points to trade at 0.0750 at the close. Meanwhile, Loulis Mills (AT:LOUr) added 2.83% or 0.06 points to end at 2.18 and Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr) was up 1.85% or 0.030 points to 1.654 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Intralot (AT:INLr), which fell 10.71% or 0.072 points to trade at 0.600 at the close. Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) declined 7.03% or 0.0450 points to end at 0.5950 and Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) was down 6.91% or 0.091 points to 1.225.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 75 to 41 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Intralot (AT:INLr) fell to all time lows; losing 10.71% or 0.072 to 0.600. Shares in Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) fell to 52-week lows; losing 6.91% or 0.091 to 1.225.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.21% or 2.60 to $1208.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.15% or 1.51 to hit $68.86 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.52% or 1.21 to trade at $78.53 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.49% to 1.1683, while EUR/GBP rose 0.06% to 0.8916.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 94.58.
