Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Travel, Media and Retail sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 1.62%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 3.37% or 0.0014 points to trade at 0.0444 at the close. Meanwhile, Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR) added 3.13% or 0.400 points to end at 13.200 and Thessaloniki Port Authority SA (AT:OLTr) was up 2.33% or 0.60 points to 26.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr), which fell 3.97% or 0.038 points to trade at 0.918 at the close. Hellenic Exchanges Athens Stock Exchange SA (AT:EXCr) declined 3.90% or 0.16 points to end at 3.94 and Intracom Constructions Technical and Steel Constructions SA (AT:INCr) was down 3.57% or 0.040 points to 1.080.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 77 to 23 and 21 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.07% or 0.90 to $1251.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.88% or 0.99 to hit $51.62 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 1.14% or 0.70 to trade at $60.97 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.10% to 1.1368, while EUR/GBP rose 1.33% to 0.9062.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.62% at 97.078.
