Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Household, Food and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 1.55%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which rose 8.15% or 0.029 points to trade at 0.385 at the close. Meanwhile, Intracom Hold (AT:INRr) added 2.99% or 0.026 points to end at 0.896 and Autohellas (AT:AUTr) was up 2.48% or 0.60 points to 24.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AS Company SA (AT:ASCr), which fell 5.76% or 0.110 points to trade at 1.800 at the close. Select Textile (AT:EPIr) declined 5.00% or 0.012 points to end at 0.228 and Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) was down 4.96% or 0.130 points to 2.490.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 88 to 32 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Autohellas (AT:AUTr) rose to 5-year highs; up 2.48% or 0.60 to 24.80.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.50% or 6.70 to $1329.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.70% or 0.45 to hit $63.70 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 1.04% or 0.70 to trade at $66.92 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.2348, while EUR/GBP rose 0.17% to 0.8874.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 89.69.
