Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 1.50%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 24.76% or 0.052 points to trade at 0.262 at the close. Meanwhile, Iaso (AT:IASr) added 8.67% or 0.063 points to end at 0.790 and Halcor (AT:XAKO) was up 5.45% or 0.060 points to 1.160 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr), which fell 9.47% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.086 at the close. Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) declined 8.97% or 0.260 points to end at 2.640 and Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) was down 6.76% or 0.050 points to 0.690.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 58 to 42 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) fell to 52-week lows; falling 9.47% or 0.009 to 0.086. Shares in Halcor (AT:XAKO) rose to 3-years highs; up 5.45% or 0.060 to 1.160.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.67% or 8.63 to $1276.17 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 3.00% or 1.55 to hit $50.12 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.13% or 1.21 to trade at $55.58 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.68% to 1.1738, while EUR/GBP rose 0.33% to 0.8848.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.61% at 93.48.
