Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Healthcare and Food sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 1.45%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which rose 2.70% or 0.006 points to trade at 0.228 at the close. Meanwhile, Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) added 2.33% or 0.080 points to end at 3.510 and Select Textile (AT:EPIr) was up 2.04% or 0.004 points to 0.200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr), which fell 4.35% or 0.004 points to trade at 0.088 at the close. Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) declined 4.31% or 0.075 points to end at 1.665 and Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) was down 3.98% or 0.029 points to 0.699.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 83 to 27 and 7 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.66% or 8.47 to $1291.47 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.96% or 0.50 to hit $51.54 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.26% or 0.73 to trade at $57.42 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.52% to 1.1848, while EUR/GBP rose 0.54% to 0.8974.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 92.96.
