Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Travel and Household sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 1.36%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Intracom Constructions Technical and Steel Constructions SA (AT:INCr), which rose 3.33% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.550 at the close. Meanwhile, Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR) added 2.80% or 0.400 points to end at 14.700 and Grivalia Properties REIC (AT:GRIr) was up 2.53% or 0.21 points to 8.52 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr), which fell 6.05% or 0.102 points to trade at 1.583 at the close. Nireus Aqua (AT:NIRr) declined 4.81% or 0.009 points to end at 0.182 and Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) was down 4.74% or 0.090 points to 1.810.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 72 to 30 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.32% or 3.80 to $1208.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.40% or 0.28 to hit $69.97 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.17% or 0.13 to trade at $77.89 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.36% to 1.1625, while EUR/GBP fell 0.17% to 0.8952.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 94.91.
