Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Banking and Retail sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 1.30%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR), which rose 43.51% or 2.850 points to trade at 9.400 at the close. Meanwhile, Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) added 18.51% or 0.007 points to end at 0.043 and Iaso (AT:IASr) was up 0.90% or 0.010 points to 1.120 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr), which fell 5.63% or 0.0480 points to trade at 0.8050 at the close. Hygeia (AT:HYGr) declined 5.47% or 0.035 points to end at 0.605 and Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) was down 5.32% or 0.100 points to 1.780.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 74 to 37 and 17 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.36% or 4.70 to $1296.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.13% or 0.08 to hit $59.56 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.15% or 0.10 to trade at $65.89 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.42% to 1.1946, while EUR/GBP rose 0.12% to 0.8888.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 92.36.
