Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Basic Resources and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 1.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Hygeia (AT:HYGr), which rose 8.54% or 0.041 points to trade at 0.521 at the close. Meanwhile, Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) added 7.69% or 0.100 points to end at 1.400 and Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) was up 7.41% or 0.4000 points to 5.8000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which fell 6.63% or 0.0110 points to trade at 0.1550 at the close. Select Textile (AT:EPIr) declined 5.52% or 0.010 points to end at 0.169 and Halcor (AT:XAKO) was down 5.00% or 0.070 points to 1.330.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 71 to 33 and 14 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.94% or 12.00 to $1265.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.23% or 0.13 to hit $57.34 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.10% or 0.06 to trade at $62.51 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.37% to 1.1822, while EUR/GBP fell 0.09% to 0.8794.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 93.35.
