Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Technology and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 1.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr), which rose 2.73% or 0.160 points to trade at 6.020 at the close. Meanwhile, Korres (AT:KRRr) added 2.51% or 0.110 points to end at 4.500 and Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) was up 1.39% or 0.040 points to 2.910 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which fell 7.06% or 0.018 points to trade at 0.237 at the close. Iaso (AT:IASr) declined 6.90% or 0.060 points to end at 0.810 and Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) was down 5.42% or 0.018 points to 0.314.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 84 to 21 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.39% or 0.040 to 2.910.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.22% or 2.79 to $1292.89 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.60% or 0.29 to hit $48.30 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.52% or 0.27 to trade at $51.63 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.18% to 1.1793, while EUR/GBP rose 0.20% to 0.9090.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 93.16.
