Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 1.05% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr), which rose 3.06% or 0.055 points to trade at 1.855 at the close. Meanwhile, Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr) added 2.57% or 0.52 points to end at 20.77 and Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr) was up 1.37% or 0.22 points to 16.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry SA (AT:ELHA), which fell 6.19% or 0.095 points to trade at 1.440 at the close. Intralot (AT:INLr) declined 6.07% or 0.049 points to end at 0.758 and Loulis Mills (AT:LOUr) was down 4.50% or 0.10 points to 2.12.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 80 to 25 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.18% or 2.20 to $1203.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.05% or 0.72 to hit $68.00 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.50% or 0.39 to trade at $76.88 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.17% to 1.1611, while EUR/GBP fell 0.36% to 0.8980.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 95.13.
