Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Construction and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 6.84% or 0.016 points to trade at 0.250 at the close. Meanwhile, Halcor (AT:XAKO) added 4.47% or 0.085 points to end at 1.985 and Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) was up 3.12% or 0.2000 points to 6.6000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which fell 4.21% or 0.008 points to trade at 0.182 at the close. Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) declined 3.95% or 0.450 points to end at 10.950 and ThesKi Port (AT:OLTr) was down 3.65% or 1.10 points to 29.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 82 to 31 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Halcor (AT:XAKO) rose to 5-year highs; up 4.47% or 0.085 to 1.985. Shares in Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 3.12% or 0.2000 to 6.6000.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 1.11% or 15.00 to $1332.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.60% or 1.05 to hit $64.75 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 2.24% or 1.56 to trade at $68.09 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.54% to 1.2447, while EUR/GBP rose 0.43% to 0.8808.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.68% at 89.08.
