Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Travel sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.89%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr), which rose 5.52% or 0.037 points to trade at 0.707 at the close. Meanwhile, Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) added 3.93% or 0.0090 points to end at 0.2380 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was up 3.64% or 0.006 points to 0.171 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr), which fell 3.01% or 0.011 points to trade at 0.355 at the close. Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) declined 2.94% or 0.003 points to end at 0.099 and Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) was down 2.31% or 0.050 points to 2.110.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 56 to 44 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.66% or 8.48 to $1300.88 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.30% or 0.14 to hit $46.95 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $51.03 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.23% to 1.1750, while EUR/GBP rose 0.26% to 0.9134.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 93.36.
