Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Travel, Media and Retail sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.89%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Gr Sarantis SA (AT:SRSr), which rose 6.84% or 0.48 points to trade at 7.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr) added 4.18% or 0.240 points to end at 5.980 and Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) was up 3.45% or 0.045 points to 1.350 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr), which fell 6.42% or 0.052 points to trade at 0.758 at the close. Elastron SA (AT:ELSRr) declined 4.33% or 0.0500 points to end at 1.1050 and Intralot (AT:INLr) was down 4.36% or 0.021 points to 0.450.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 63 to 39 and 15 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.40% or 5.00 to $1261.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 3.86% or 1.86 to hit $46.31 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 3.39% or 1.94 to trade at $55.30 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.37% to 1.1418, while EUR/GBP rose 0.06% to 0.9026.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 96.123.
