Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.88%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were BriQ Properties REIC (AT:BRIQr), which rose 0.76% or 0.02 points to trade at 1.99 at the close. Meanwhile, Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr) added 0.72% or 0.01 points to end at 1.67 and Ideal Group SA (AT:IDEr) was up 0.68% or 0.04 points to 5.88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr), which fell 4.64% or 0.16 points to trade at 3.29 at the close. Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:ALBr) declined 2.76% or 0.06 points to end at 1.94 and Intracom Holdings SA (AT:INRr) was down 2.71% or 0.09 points to 3.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 106 to 17 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.27% or 6.90 to $2,536.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.12% or 0.08 to hit $65.67 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.19% or 0.13 to trade at $69.06 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.44% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 101.69.
