Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Basic Resources and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.87% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which rose 19.73% or 0.103 points to trade at 0.624 at the close. Meanwhile, Select Textile (AT:EPIr) added 7.41% or 0.018 points to end at 0.261 and Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr) was up 3.03% or 0.040 points to 1.360 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Iaso (AT:IASr), which fell 7.65% or 0.059 points to trade at 0.712 at the close. Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) declined 6.59% or 0.006 points to end at 0.085 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) was down 5.33% or 0.240 points to 4.260.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 60 to 40 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.78% or 10.38 to $1340.78 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.49% or 0.23 to hit $47.52 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.53% or 0.28 to trade at $52.47 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.46% to 1.1914, while EUR/GBP rose 0.33% to 0.9195.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 92.45.
