Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Travel, Utilities and Household sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which rose 2.84% or 0.1600 points to trade at 5.8000 at the close. Meanwhile, MLS Multimedia (AT:MLSr) added 2.35% or 0.100 points to end at 4.350 and Loulis Mills (AT:LOUr) was up 1.89% or 0.04 points to 2.16 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sarantiseg (AT:SRSr), which fell 4.05% or 0.30 points to trade at 7.10 at the close. Athens Water (AT:EYDr) declined 3.25% or 0.18 points to end at 5.36 and Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) was down 2.57% or 0.044 points to 1.666.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 59 to 42 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.69% or 20.20 to $1214.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.81% or 1.23 to hit $69.06 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.82% or 1.36 to trade at $76.09 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.75% to 1.1627, while EUR/GBP rose 0.40% to 0.9042.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.54% at 95.03.
