Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Utilities and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.85%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were AS Company SA (AT:ASCr), which rose 7.07% or 0.140 points to trade at 2.120 at the close. Meanwhile, Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr) added 1.86% or 0.34 points to end at 18.64 and Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR) was up 1.64% or 0.200 points to 12.400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Athens Water (AT:EYDr), which fell 4.76% or 0.30 points to trade at 6.00 at the close. Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) declined 4.08% or 0.006 points to end at 0.141 and Select Textile (AT:EPIr) was down 4.00% or 0.010 points to 0.240.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 69 to 43 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in AS Company SA (AT:ASCr) rose to 5-year highs; up 7.07% or 0.140 to 2.120. Shares in Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR) rose to all time highs; up 1.64% or 0.200 to 12.400.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.30% or 4.00 to $1334.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.54% or 0.34 to hit $63.89 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.34% or 0.23 to trade at $67.27 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.2304, while EUR/GBP rose 0.17% to 0.8820.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 89.84.
