Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Household, Banking and Retail sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.78%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Halcor (AT:XAKO), which rose 6.48% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.150 at the close. Meanwhile, Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) added 5.26% or 0.0100 points to end at 0.2000 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) was up 2.29% or 0.070 points to 3.130 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which fell 9.88% or 0.024 points to trade at 0.219 at the close. Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) declined 7.38% or 0.110 points to end at 1.380 and Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr) was down 5.85% or 0.034 points to 0.580.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 67 to 26 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.22% or 2.87 to $1290.93 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.51% or 0.26 to hit $50.66 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.62% or 0.35 to trade at $56.26 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.1849, while EUR/GBP rose 0.41% to 0.8980.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 92.88.
