Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.75%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Intralot (AT:INLr), which rose 6.29% or 0.044 points to trade at 0.744 at the close. Meanwhile, Elastron SA (AT:ELSRr) added 2.96% or 0.0400 points to end at 1.3900 and Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) was up 2.58% or 0.050 points to 1.990 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which fell 4.81% or 0.0048 points to trade at 0.0950 at the close. Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) declined 3.32% or 0.0290 points to end at 0.8435 and Athens Water (AT:EYDr) was down 2.29% or 0.13 points to 5.55.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 54 to 48 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.40% or 4.90 to $1222.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.03% or 0.70 to hit $68.36 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.47% or 0.34 to trade at $72.73 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.39% to 1.1614, while EUR/GBP rose 0.35% to 0.8914.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 94.81.
