Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.71%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR), which rose 6.43% or 0.900 points to trade at 15.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr) added 2.67% or 0.040 points to end at 1.540 and Karatzi (AT:KRTr) was up 2.67% or 0.200 points to 7.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr), which fell 4.68% or 0.013 points to trade at 0.265 at the close. Sarantiseg (AT:SRSr) declined 4.38% or 0.65 points to end at 14.20 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) was down 4.34% or 0.126 points to 2.778.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 62 to 45 and 21 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.09% or 1.20 to $1301.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.89% or 0.59 to hit $65.36 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.22% or 0.94 to trade at $76.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.29% to 1.1765, while EUR/GBP fell 0.18% to 0.8774.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 93.59.
