Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr), which rose 2.72% or 0.25 points to trade at 9.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr) added 1.97% or 0.50 points to end at 25.90 and Loulis Mills (AT:LOUr) was up 1.54% or 0.04 points to 2.64 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ekter (AT:EKTr), which fell 2.61% or 0.12 points to trade at 4.47 at the close. HELLENiQ ENERGY Holdings SA (AT:HEPr) declined 2.38% or 0.20 points to end at 8.22 and Athens Water (AT:EYDr) was down 2.04% or 0.12 points to 5.77.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 73 to 35 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr) rose to all time highs; up 2.72% or 0.25 to 9.45.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.31% or 7.15 to $2,334.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.42% or 0.33 to hit $77.41 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.26% or 0.21 to trade at $81.42 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.27% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 105.04.
