Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Retail, Banking and Food sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which rose 13.93% or 0.085 points to trade at 0.695 at the close. Meanwhile, Select Textile (AT:EPIr) added 9.59% or 0.014 points to end at 0.160 and Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) was up 2.27% or 0.030 points to 1.350 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Folli Follie (AT:HDFr), which fell 5.29% or 0.90 points to trade at 16.10 at the close. Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) declined 3.50% or 0.055 points to end at 1.515 and Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr) was down 3.28% or 0.190 points to 5.600.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 50 to 36 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Folli Follie (AT:HDFr) fell to 52-week lows; losing 5.29% or 0.90 to 16.10. Shares in Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.50% or 0.055 to 1.515.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.74% or 9.50 to $1285.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.73% or 0.42 to hit $56.78 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.31% or 0.20 to trade at $63.49 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1583, while EUR/GBP rose 0.52% to 0.8847.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 94.83.
