Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Titan Cement International SA (AT:TITCr), which rose 2.04% or 0.65 points to trade at 32.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Centric Hold (AT:DESr) added 1.68% or 0.01 points to end at 0.36 and Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr) was up 1.67% or 0.06 points to 3.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Optima bank SA (AT:OPTIMAr), which fell 4.55% or 0.60 points to trade at 12.60 at the close. Holding Company ADMIE IPTO SA (AT:ADMr) declined 2.72% or 0.06 points to end at 2.14 and Cars Motorcycles and Marine Engine Trade and Import Company SA (AT:MTDr) was down 2.21% or 0.06 points to 2.66.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 71 to 44 and 23 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.06% or 1.60 to $2,526.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.18% or 0.80 to hit $68.47 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.97% or 0.69 to trade at $71.75 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 101.52.
