Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.56%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:ALBr), which rose 4.22% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.73 at the close. Meanwhile, Jumbo SA (AT:BABr) added 2.10% or 0.54 points to end at 26.20 and Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) was up 1.81% or 0.01 points to 0.31 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bank of Cyprus Holdings PLC (AT:BOCHGRr), which fell 10.52% or 0.51 points to trade at 4.34 at the close. Autohellas (AT:AUTr) declined 2.99% or 0.32 points to end at 10.38 and National Bank of Greece SA (AT:NBGr) was down 1.95% or 0.15 points to 7.44.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 64 to 49 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bank of Cyprus Holdings PLC (AT:BOCHGRr) fell to all time lows; losing 10.52% or 0.51 to 4.34. Shares in Autohellas (AT:AUTr) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.99% or 0.32 to 10.38.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.20% or 5.35 to $2,630.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.22% or 0.90 to hit $72.67 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.32% or 1.02 to trade at $76.16 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 102.59.
