Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Travel, Banking and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 5.26% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.240 at the close. Meanwhile, Centric Hold (AT:DESr) added 3.87% or 0.007 points to end at 0.188 and AS Company SA (AT:ASCr) was up 2.66% or 0.050 points to 1.950 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr), which fell 3.25% or 0.0290 points to trade at 0.8640 at the close. Public Power (AT:DEHr) declined 3.05% or 0.09 points to end at 2.86 and Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr) was down 2.89% or 0.26 points to 8.75.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 58 to 52 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.26% or 3.40 to $1318.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.92% or 0.57 to hit $61.22 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.78% or 0.51 to trade at $65.00 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.2255, while EUR/GBP fell 0.71% to 0.8773.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 90.16.
