Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Travel, Banking and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 5.00% or 0.0050 points to trade at 0.1050 at the close. Meanwhile, European Reliance General Insurance Co SA (AT:EREr) added 2.57% or 0.090 points to end at 3.590 and Terna Energy (AT:TENr) was up 1.82% or 0.100 points to 5.600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Intralot (AT:INLr), which fell 10.49% or 0.082 points to trade at 0.700 at the close. Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) declined 8.15% or 0.009 points to end at 0.101 and Intracom Hold (AT:INRr) was down 4.03% or 0.023 points to 0.548.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 68 to 34 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Intralot (AT:INLr) fell to 5-year lows; losing 10.49% or 0.082 to 0.700. Shares in Terna Energy (AT:TENr) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.82% or 0.100 to 5.600.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.14% or 1.70 to $1224.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.63% or 0.44 to hit $69.17 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.03% or 0.02 to trade at $74.56 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.05% to 1.1649, while EUR/GBP fell 0.02% to 0.8881.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 94.50.
