Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Retail and Food sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.49% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Halcor (AT:XAKO), which rose 9.77% or 0.089 points to trade at 1.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Iaso (AT:IASr) added 6.07% or 0.041 points to end at 0.716 and Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) was up 4.71% or 0.2200 points to 4.9400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which fell 6.38% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.132 at the close. Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) declined 5.26% or 0.0120 points to end at 0.2160 and Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) was down 4.90% or 0.0700 points to 1.3600.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 58 to 42 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Halcor (AT:XAKO) rose to 3-years highs; rising 9.77% or 0.089 to 1.000.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.86% or 11.24 to $1290.46 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $51.84 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.79% or 0.46 to trade at $57.46 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.45% to 1.1740, while EUR/GBP fell 0.01% to 0.8762.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 93.21.
