Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr), which rose 2.72% or 0.14 points to trade at 5.29 at the close. Meanwhile, Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr) added 1.95% or 0.02 points to end at 1.15 and Jumbo SA (AT:BABr) was up 1.53% or 0.36 points to 23.86 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Public Power (AT:DEHr), which fell 2.62% or 0.30 points to trade at 11.15 at the close. National Bank of Greece SA (AT:NBGr) declined 2.49% or 0.19 points to end at 7.29 and Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr) was down 2.45% or 0.27 points to 10.75.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 77 to 44 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.46% or 37.10 to $2,579.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.39% or 1.61 to hit $68.92 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 2.05% or 1.45 to trade at $72.06 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 101.58.
