Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr), which rose 4.99% or 0.06 points to trade at 1.22 at the close. Meanwhile, Dimand Societe Anonyme for Real Estate Constructions (AT:DIMANDr) added 4.64% or 0.43 points to end at 9.70 and Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr) was up 4.04% or 0.08 points to 2.06 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr), which fell 2.94% or 0.10 points to trade at 3.31 at the close. Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR) declined 2.68% or 0.40 points to end at 14.50 and Jumbo SA (AT:BABr) was down 2.16% or 0.50 points to 22.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 72 to 51 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.68% or 0.40 to 14.50.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.91% or 23.10 to $2,564.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.30% or 0.22 to hit $73.44 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.35% or 0.27 to trade at $77.39 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 101.36.
