Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Retail and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.44%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Reds (AT:CAMr), which rose 9.41% or 0.080 points to trade at 0.935 at the close. Meanwhile, Terna Energy (AT:TENr) added 3.39% or 0.200 points to end at 6.100 and Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR) was up 2.88% or 0.400 points to 14.300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Intracom Constructions Technical and Steel Constructions SA (AT:INCr), which fell 6.25% or 0.100 points to trade at 1.500 at the close. Intralot (AT:INLr) declined 4.47% or 0.034 points to end at 0.727 and Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr) was down 3.15% or 0.058 points to 1.782.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 55 to 37 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Terna Energy (AT:TENr) rose to 5-year highs; up 3.39% or 0.200 to 6.100.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.40% or 4.90 to $1206.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.37% or 0.26 to hit $69.77 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.45% or 0.35 to trade at $77.81 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.40% to 1.1660, while EUR/GBP fell 0.28% to 0.8963.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 94.71.
