Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Retail, Financials and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Intralot (AT:INLr), which rose 3.65% or 0.028 points to trade at 0.796 at the close. Meanwhile, Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) added 3.53% or 0.2000 points to end at 5.8600 and K.L.M. (AT:KLUr) was up 2.11% or 0.014 points to 0.678 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which fell 6.34% or 0.0064 points to trade at 0.0946 at the close. Loulis Mills (AT:LOUr) declined 5.36% or 0.12 points to end at 2.12 and Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR) was down 4.20% or 0.600 points to 13.700.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 58 to 29 and 25 ended unchanged.
Shares in Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) rose to all time highs; rising 3.53% or 0.2000 to 5.8600.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.02% or 0.20 to $1218.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.78% or 1.92 to hit $67.25 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 2.46% or 1.84 to trade at $72.81 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.08% to 1.1608, while EUR/GBP rose 0.45% to 0.9002.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 94.97.
