Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Household, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.40% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Iaso (AT:IASr), which rose 7.25% or 0.059 points to trade at 0.873 at the close. Meanwhile, Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) added 6.41% or 0.1000 points to end at 1.6600 and Hygeia (AT:HYGr) was up 3.99% or 0.014 points to 0.365 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which fell 16.67% or 0.0350 points to trade at 0.1750 at the close. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) declined 5.06% or 0.012 points to end at 0.225 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) was down 3.36% or 0.080 points to 2.300.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 60 to 47 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 6.41% or 0.1000 to 1.6600. Shares in Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.36% or 0.080 to 2.300.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.04% or 0.53 to $1277.77 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.53% or 0.28 to hit $52.19 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.07% or 0.04 to trade at $58.29 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.40% to 1.1808, while EUR/GBP fell 0.58% to 0.8904.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 93.53.
