Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Food and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Profile Syst (AT:PRFr), which rose 7.53% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) added 4.84% or 0.170 points to end at 3.680 and Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry SA (AT:ELHA) was up 4.19% or 0.075 points to 1.865 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which fell 8.40% or 0.055 points to trade at 0.600 at the close. Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) declined 4.02% or 0.0090 points to end at 0.2150 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was down 3.55% or 0.006 points to 0.163.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 56 to 41 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) rose to 3-years highs; rising 7.53% or 0.070 to 1.000.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.89% or 11.70 to $1306.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.72% or 1.06 to hit $60.58 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 1.99% or 1.29 to trade at $63.44 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.09% to 1.2182, while EUR/GBP rose 0.18% to 0.8877.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 90.79.
