Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Resources, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.38% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 5.36% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.242 at the close. Meanwhile, Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr) added 5.00% or 0.030 points to end at 0.630 and Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) was up 2.98% or 0.100 points to 3.490 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Iaso (AT:IASr), which fell 5.88% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.280 at the close. Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) declined 5.05% or 0.550 points to end at 10.350 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was down 4.26% or 0.008 points to 0.180.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 69 to 34 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.41% or 5.40 to $1331.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.10% or 0.65 to hit $58.64 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.75% or 0.47 to trade at $62.12 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.59% to 1.2365, while EUR/GBP rose 0.16% to 0.8897.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.56% at 89.51.
