Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Travel, Media and Retail sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr), which rose 3.42% or 0.0400 points to trade at 1.2100 at the close. Meanwhile, Reds (AT:CAMr) added 2.98% or 0.025 points to end at 0.850 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) was up 2.94% or 0.027 points to 0.945 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which fell 4.65% or 0.0020 points to trade at 0.0410 at the close. Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) declined 4.58% or 0.2200 points to end at 4.5800 and Kekrops SA (AT:KEKr) was down 3.33% or 0.0500 points to 1.4500.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 54 to 43 and 22 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.00% or 0.05 to $1249.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.39% or 1.22 to hit $52.22 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 1.45% or 0.87 to trade at $60.84 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.30% to 1.1321, while EUR/GBP fell 0.10% to 0.9032.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 97.387.
