Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Banking and Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Creta Plastics (AT:PLAKR), which rose 5.78% or 0.330 points to trade at 6.200 at the close. Meanwhile, Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) added 5.02% or 0.011 points to end at 0.230 and Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr) was up 3.01% or 0.8400 points to 28.7500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which fell 6.67% or 0.004 points to trade at 0.056 at the close. National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) declined 3.72% or 0.011 points to end at 0.285 and Hygeia (AT:HYGr) was down 3.53% or 0.012 points to 0.328.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 54 to 48 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Creta Plastics (AT:PLAKR) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 5.78% or 0.330 to 6.200.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.07% or 0.93 to $1276.97 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $50.42 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.21% or 0.12 to trade at $55.88 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.12% to 1.1758, while EUR/GBP fell 0.17% to 0.8858.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 93.31.
