Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr), which rose 3.54% or 0.86 points to trade at 25.16 at the close. Meanwhile, Centric Hold (AT:DESr) added 3.34% or 0.01 points to end at 0.34 and Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr) was up 3.18% or 0.30 points to 9.72 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Titan Cement International SA (AT:TITCr), which fell 5.39% or 1.65 points to trade at 28.95 at the close. Hellenic Exchanges Athens Stock Exchange SA (AT:EXCr) declined 4.12% or 0.20 points to end at 4.66 and Elastron SA (AT:ELSRr) was down 3.32% or 0.07 points to 2.04.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 73 to 52 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr) rose to all time highs; up 3.18% or 0.30 to 9.72. Shares in Elastron SA (AT:ELSRr) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.32% or 0.07 to 2.04.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.26% or 6.10 to $2,338.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $81.64 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.08% or 0.07 to trade at $85.08 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.32% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 105.40.
