Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Resources, Chemicals and Travel sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR), which rose 4.84% or 0.600 points to trade at 13.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Centric Hold (AT:DESr) added 3.44% or 0.005 points to end at 0.166 and Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr) was up 3.06% or 0.59 points to 19.89 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grivalia Properties REIC (AT:GRIr), which fell 3.21% or 0.29 points to trade at 8.75 at the close. Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) declined 2.92% or 0.100 points to end at 3.320 and Public Power (AT:DEHr) was down 2.85% or 0.08 points to 2.73.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 60 to 58 and 14 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.27% or 3.50 to $1314.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.60% or 0.98 to hit $62.17 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 1.26% or 0.82 to trade at $65.94 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.15% to 1.2286, while EUR/GBP fell 0.05% to 0.8825.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 90.23.
