Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Optima bank SA (AT:OPTIMAr), which rose 2.77% or 0.36 points to trade at 13.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Athens Water (AT:EYDr) added 2.66% or 0.15 points to end at 5.79 and Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) was up 2.10% or 0.11 points to 5.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lavipharm SA (AT:LPHr), which fell 2.47% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.79 at the close. Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr) declined 2.33% or 0.50 points to end at 20.92 and Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:ALBr) was down 1.85% or 0.04 points to 1.86.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 66 to 50 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Optima bank SA (AT:OPTIMAr) rose to all time highs; up 2.77% or 0.36 to 13.34.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.01% or 26.50 to $2,641.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.44% or 0.31 to hit $70.85 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.53% or 0.40 to trade at $74.48 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 100.61.
