Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Retail, Industrials and Household sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.20% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 29.88% or 0.0245 points to trade at 0.1065 at the close. Meanwhile, Nireus Aqua (AT:NIRr) added 25.97% or 0.040 points to end at 0.194 and Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) was up 5.75% or 0.006 points to 0.107 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Intralot (AT:INLr), which fell 4.12% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.931 at the close. Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr) declined 3.79% or 0.0500 points to end at 1.2700 and Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) was down 3.79% or 0.050 points to 1.270.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 64 to 39 and 20 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.30% or 3.70 to $1257.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.15% or 0.11 to hit $74.25 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.22% or 0.17 to trade at $77.93 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.15% to 1.1640, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8810.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 94.39.
