Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Food and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 9.25% or 0.0210 points to trade at 0.2490 at the close. Meanwhile, Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) added 4.65% or 0.004 points to end at 0.090 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was up 3.82% or 0.006 points to 0.163 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr), which fell 2.44% or 0.20 points to trade at 7.98 at the close. Halcor (AT:XAKO) declined 1.79% or 0.017 points to end at 0.933 and Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr) was down 1.76% or 0.120 points to 6.690.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 56 to 48 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.10% or 1.40 to $1345.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.03% or 0.50 to hit $49.16 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.22% or 0.65 to trade at $54.03 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.25% to 1.1943, while EUR/GBP fell 0.01% to 0.9140.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 92.01.
