Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Travel, Healthcare and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Loulis Mills (AT:LOUr), which rose 5.77% or 0.12 points to trade at 2.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Kekrops SA (AT:KEKr) added 5.17% or 0.0600 points to end at 1.2200 and Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) was up 2.59% or 0.1400 points to 5.5400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Karatzi (AT:KRTr), which fell 3.45% or 0.250 points to trade at 7.200 at the close. Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) declined 3.38% or 0.0035 points to end at 0.1065 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) was down 3.25% or 0.084 points to 2.500.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 52 to 50 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.59% or 0.1400 to 5.5400.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.10% or 1.20 to $1226.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.56% or 1.06 to hit $68.95 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.99% or 0.72 to trade at $73.78 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.05% to 1.1698, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8901.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 94.30.
