Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Banking and Household sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr), which rose 6.92% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.11 at the close. Meanwhile, Alumil (AT:ALMr) added 5.44% or 0.19 points to end at 3.59 and Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr) was up 4.01% or 0.12 points to 2.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR), which fell 3.33% or 0.50 points to trade at 14.50 at the close. Hellenic Telecommunications Organization SA (AT:OTEr) declined 3.02% or 0.46 points to end at 14.77 and Thessaloniki Water and Sewage Co SA (AT:TWSr) was down 2.76% or 0.09 points to 3.17.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 67 to 45 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in Alumil (AT:ALMr) rose to 52-week highs; up 5.44% or 0.19 to 3.59.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.49% or 12.65 to $2,573.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.44% or 0.30 to hit $68.73 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.47% or 0.34 to trade at $72.62 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 106.41.
