Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Food, Construction and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.14% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were European Reliance General Insurance Co SA (AT:EREr), which rose 4.39% or 0.150 points to trade at 3.570 at the close. Meanwhile, Karatzi (AT:KRTr) added 3.82% or 0.250 points to end at 6.800 and Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) was up 3.26% or 0.070 points to 2.220 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Reds (AT:CAMr), which fell 9.34% or 0.085 points to trade at 0.825 at the close. Intralot (AT:INLr) declined 3.43% or 0.026 points to end at 0.732 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) was down 2.10% or 0.060 points to 2.800.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 55 to 45 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.07% or 0.80 to $1203.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.63% or 0.43 to hit $67.34 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.33% or 0.25 to trade at $76.25 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.39% to 1.1577, while EUR/GBP fell 0.53% to 0.8941.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 95.25.
