Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Retail and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 6.71% or 0.011 points to trade at 0.175 at the close. Meanwhile, Hygeia (AT:HYGr) added 6.06% or 0.038 points to end at 0.665 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) was up 3.73% or 0.110 points to 3.060 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Terna Energy (AT:TENr), which fell 2.62% or 0.120 points to trade at 4.460 at the close. Autohellas (AT:AUTr) declined 2.56% or 0.60 points to end at 22.80 and Hellenic Petroleum SA (AT:HEPr) was down 2.11% or 0.160 points to 7.440.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 57 to 55 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Hygeia (AT:HYGr) rose to 3-years highs; rising 6.06% or 0.038 to 0.665.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.17% or 2.10 to $1263.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.21% or 0.12 to hit $57.34 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.16% or 0.10 to trade at $63.51 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.25% to 1.1812, while EUR/GBP rose 0.56% to 0.8851.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 93.26.
